Thika was rescued from the Toronto Zoo (not a great place for elephants) and moved to a lovely sanctuary in Northern California called PAWS (Performing Animal Welfare Society) on of only 2 accredited elephant sanctuaries in the US. At PAWS Thika roams her days away in chain free happiness with her friends over acres of warm rolling hills!
